Founded in the early ’90s, Form & Space Design Consultants offers comprehensive design services in the fields of Architecture, Interiors, and Landscape designing. Our dialogue-based approach to understanding our client’s requirements and constraints helps us establish the ‘realities and boundaries’ of each project.
‘I had to do ample of study and research in this field as I was new, and the industry being vast within itself, required a lot of understanding towards designing, trends, materials, application techniques, etc. In the beginning, we had just a handful of materials to choose from, but today the choices are massive. This helped in creating better spaces. Having said that, one requires subsequent experience towards the same and this I acquired from the leaders and my contemporaries from the industry at the very beginning of my career, says Principal Designer, F&S-Raaj Sree Ram.
With true knowledge and understanding of the industry he belonged to, he was fortunate that his efforts were appreciated and featured in local and regional magazines. Ar. Raaj Sreeram has exemplified the eye-pleasing bungalow with the primary influence-based design and an appealing landscape that seamlessly blurs the line between indoor-outdoor spaces.
The evening view speaks for itself with fine lighting. The entrance staircase displays a homogeneous mix of concrete and steel, with the use of natural stone flanked by the water body. The parallel placed abstract mural and the luxury car complements the corner.
Let nature come knocking
The admirable stairs leading to the upper floor have a high wall designed in travertine marble. Concealed profile lights, plantations, and natural wood furniture adds warmth and interesting definition to the space.
The bar counter on the terrace adjoining the pool looks indiscreet during the day but jumps to life in the night with the back-lit marble and the smart background.
The pathway to the main entrance is completed with a skylight, a bridge, and an exotic tree seeming to reach the sky and to limit the impact of the existing green space, the red lanterns hanging on the tree provide a bygone touch to the space.
Architecture and landscape is a process of evolving, analyzing, feeling, and creating a space, which has an identity that can breathe and communicate.
The luxurious seating with Tanjore art in the verandah enhances the view of outdoor space.
