Swetha, a graduate of JNAFU Hyderabad, embarked on her professional journey by apprenticing under a distinguished architect in Hyderabad for two years. In 2018, she took the bold step of founding her firm, Studio Vriksh. Initially focused on F&B ventures, the firm has since expanded its scope to encompass international schools, residential projects, and restaurants, among others.

Swetha’s passion lies in the fusion of art and science, a driving force that guides her work. Rather than succumbing to transient trends, she is dedicated to creating designs imbued with timeless appeal and functionality. In her approach to sustainability, Swetha prioritizes sourcing locally within a 10 to 20 kilo meter radius and collaborating with regional vendors, all while striving to minimize waste. Despite the inherent obstacles to promoting sustainability within the industry, such as higher costs and supply chain complexities, Studio Vriksh remains steadfast in its commitment to these principles.

 

Swetha’s design approach is characterized by a seamless fusion of traditional Indian elements with contemporary aesthetics. She meticulously incorporates traditional Indian artifacts into modern settings, ensuring they blend effortlessly. Her designs serve as a testament to her clients’ vision of reconnecting with their heritage. By thoughtfully blending traditional and modern elements, she creates spaces that act as sanctuaries, where the past and present coexist harmoniously. Swetha’s approach prioritizes maintaining the integrity of traditional design while infusing it with modern sensibilities, resulting in spaces that are both culturally rich and visually appealing.

Drawing Room

The drawing room seamlessly merges traditional Indian aesthetics with contemporary elegance, offering a warm and inviting ambiance that resonates with the client’s cultural heritage. Dusty pink textured walls serve as a soft backdrop, harmonizing with the sofa and artwork to create a sophisticated atmosphere. At the center of the room, a plush sofa invites relaxation with its luxurious fabric and intricate detailing, staying true to the traditional elements woven throughout the space. Strategically placed artwork, including vibrant paintings of Indian gods and intricately carved wooden sculptures, serves as focal points, narrating tales of the past and celebrating the client’s roots. Every piece is thoughtfully selected to evoke nostalgia and cultural pride. Overall, the drawing room is a curated blend of sophistication and tradition, offering a cozy retreat for guests to unwind and immerse themselves in its cultural charm.

 

Living Room

The living room features dusty pink textured walls, maintaining design consistency. Large windows blur indoor-outdoor boundaries, offering views of the landscape. Thoughtfully arranged seating maximizes comfort and visual appeal. A dedicated reading nook with a bookshelf provides serenity. A hand-picked wooden sculpture serves as a focal point, complementing the decor. Wall lights add functionality and elegance.

 

Master Bedrooms

In both master bedrooms, the design seamlessly merges tradition with modernity, creating spaces that are not only functional but also deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of the region. From the hand painted wardrobe shutters to the carefully curated decor, every detail has been thoughtfully considered to evoke a sense of timeless elegance and cultural pride.

Elder Daughter Bedroom

In the elder daughter’s bedroom, a serene ambiance is cultivated with earthy tones, crafting a warm and inviting space for relaxation and study. The bed backside wall serves as the focal point, adorned with hand-painted panels integrated into the wainscoting, adding visual depth. The study area carries the theme with storage solutions featuring similar hand-painted artwork, ensuring a cohesive design. This harmonious approach not only enhances functionality but also creates unity and balance, resonating throughout the room.

Younger Daughter Bedroom

The younger daughter’s bedroom exudes a whimsical and vibrant atmosphere, mirroring her youthful energy and personality. Elegant green marble arches frame the windows, infusing a touch of sophistication and luxury. Hand-painted artwork continues on the bed back panels, introducing shades of green for a pop of color and visual interest. Featuring botanical motifs and nature-inspired scenes, the bed panel contributes to a cheerful and lively ambiance, completing the room’s playful aesthetic.

Guest Bedroom

Home Theatre

Plush olive green fabric drapes the walls, doubling as an aesthetic focal point and improving room acoustics. Soft indirect lighting enhances depth and warmth, while recessed linear lights hidden above the fabric panels provide a cinematic ambiance, balancing relaxation and visual allure.

Kitchen

The kitchen features wooden closed cupboards and open racks for storage, providing both functionality and aesthetic appeal. A scenic window placed in between offers picturesque views of lush greenery, while welcoming ample natural light to illuminate the space. The addition of white marble countertops enhances reflection, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere.

At the center of the second-floor balcony sits a high-back armchair, strategically placed as the focal point. This inviting seat offers a comfortable spot for relaxation, allowing occupants to fully immerse themselves in the surrounding scenery.
A sleek TV screen hangs nearby, offering entertainment options for leisurely evenings or lazy afternoons. Together, these elements come together to create a harmonious and inviting atmosphere, where one can escape the stresses of the outside world and fully immerse themselves in the simple pleasures of comfort, leisure, and natural beauty

Terrace Kitchen

The terrace kitchen is strategically placed behind the bar area of the semi-open terrace, effortlessly linking indoor and outdoor entertainment spaces. Its discreet door heightens curiosity, enriching the experience as one approaches from the bar. The consistent stone cladding from the bar wall to the kitchen door ensures design unity

An upcoming skylight installation above the kitchen promises abundant natural light, cultivating an ideal atmosphere for food preparation. The bold maroon tones impart a sense of opulence and warmth, blending seamlessly with the terrazzo counter and backsplash for a visually captivating and cohesive appearance.
